Well, it’s still 2020 and therefore, we still aren’t able to meet together in person quite yet. So, we’ll do it on Teams again!
September is our annual food drive. For the past 6 years (or is it 7?), we have done a food drive in partnership with Plantronics (now Poly). We chose September for a specific reason. September is a very tough time for food banks (this year especially). Typically, it is when they run low due to higher demand during summer months (kids being home and not getting lunches in school, etc.) and the holiday food drives haven’t happened yet.
This year, we can’t hold the food drive in person so we’re going to ask every COUCUG member to donate to their local food bank. Whether it’s $5, $50, or more, a local donation can go a long way. When people donate money to a worth organization, they can use it to purchase in bulk and get more than if we just go to the local bulk club or grocery store.
In addition to the food drive, we will also be hosting our monthly meeting on September 10th from 4-6pm. This month will be dedicated to catching up cause Microsoft was on a tear during the summer (evidently since 2020 cancelled many peoples plans, Microsoft decided to pump out some new features!).
We will also bring in our friends from Poly to talk about what they have going on (hint: they released a new Microsoft Teams Room).
Please remember, you MUST RSVP in order to get the meeting join info.
